Speaker: Dr. Adam Jones
Jones is a political scientist, writer, and photojournalist based at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Jones is best known for his work in comparative genocide studies. He works as an expert consultant for the UN Office of Genocide Prevention, and was recently selected as one of "50 Key Thinkers on the Holocaust and Genocide" for the book of that name. He is author of the leading textbook in the field, Genocide: A Comprehensive Introduction (3rded., 2016) and author or editor of numerous other works on genocide and crimes against humanity. Dr. Jones’s recent books include The Scourge of Genocide: Essays and Reflections (2013) and, as editor, New Directions in Genocide Research (2012).
