North Carolina International Higher Education Workshop: Telling Our International Student and Scholar Story

Organized by the University Council of International Programs and Appalachian State, UNC Charlotte and UNC Greensboro

To be held at UNC Charlotte Center City Building, Charlotte, North Carolina

December 1, 2017 from 10:00am-3:30pm

Featuring Dr. Esther Brimmer, CEO and Executive Director of NAFSA: Association of International Educators; Dr. Debra Stewart, President Emerita of the Council for Graduate Schools; and Katie O’Connell, Director of Advocacy and Media Outreach for NAFSA: Association of International Educators.

This workshop is designed for international higher education administrators, campus communicators, and those who are responsible for supporting constituent relationships on campuses. This interactive format will offer participants practical approaches and effective strategies for promoting and advancing internationalization in the state and disseminating our story in our communities.  International students and scholars hold a very important cultural and economic role in our university communities and this workshop is an opportunity to refresh your narrative through empowered storytelling regarding how you can better share information and garner support on your campuses and beyond.
